May 4: Viikki Church
The class took a tour of the community of Viikki to the northeast, starting with the church.
On the way there: the Rautatieasema tower covered by a picture of itself. Meta!
We went through a quite formally laid out cemetery on the way from the bus stop to Viikki.
The front plaza and bell tower of the church.
A lone clerestory among shingly volumes.
The screeny front doorway.
The nave of the church, with a lovely finely trabeated structure.
Detail right next to the windows.
