May 22: Utö to Turku
The ferry departed at the slovenly, decadent time of 5:30 AM.
But the sun's light was almost white even that early. Here, the view from the main side hatch of the ferry, the ferry floor well below the level of the dock.

The Jurmo dock — cropped, so it took me a long time to figure out which island this was, lacking easy evidence of Jurmo's desolate expanse, though you can still perceive the paucity of trees here.
